You cannot open an account for the United States today — there is no USD option, and nothing here computes federal or state tax. We keep books for South Africa and Botswana, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Said plainly rather than left for you to find out after paying. An account is opened against a jurisdiction and the money is held in that country's currency; today the only choices are rands and pula.
The United States is also the hardest version of the tax problem — the IRS federally, then fifty states with their own rules and their own sales tax. Doing that badly would be worse than not doing it, so we have not done it at all.
