We're not in the UK yet.

Ledgr keeps books and prepares tax returns for South Africa and Botswana. Not the UK — not the HMRC side, and not the bookkeeping either, because an account here is tied to one of those two countries.

Not available in the United Kingdom yet

You cannot open an account for the United Kingdom today — there is no GBP option, and nothing here computes HMRC tax. We keep books for South Africa and Botswana, and we will not pretend otherwise.

One email, when it happens. Which country we build next is decided by who is waiting.

We would rather say that plainly than sell you a subscription you cannot use. An account is opened against a jurisdiction, the money is held in that country's currency, and today the only choices are rands and pula. There is no GBP option to pick.

Two things have to happen before that changes. The books have to stop assuming a southern African currency, and there has to be a real HMRC tax engine — its forms, its filing rhythm, Making Tax Digital on top — verified against HMRC's own returns rather than guessed at. We build a tax engine per country or we do not claim one.

Neither is far-fetched; neither is done. Leave your address and you will hear the day it is. Which country we build next is decided by who is waiting.

Where else we are

Every figure comes from your own records, double-entry, with the working shown. We don’t guess at tax law — Ledgr keeps the books and shows you how each number was reached, so you and your accountant are looking at the same thing.
